Hathurusingha has a bitter experience in Australia

In a tale of travel woes, the Bangladesh cricket team's head coach, Chandika Hathurusingha, endured a bitter experience during his vacation in Australia. The Sri Lanka-born coach had wrapped up the series against Afghanistan and was looking forward to some relaxation Down Under. However, his plans took a nosedive when he faced a series of unfortunate events with Virgin Australia Airlines.

Hathurusingha's troubles began when he arrived at the airport, expecting to board his scheduled Virgin Australia Airlines flight. To his dismay, he was informed that the flight had been canceled just a few hours before take-off. Even worse, there were no available alternative flights, leaving him stranded and unsure of how to proceed.

With no immediate solution in sight, Hathurusingha found himself stuck for almost an entire day at the airport. The frustration of waiting for hours on end compounded the unpleasantness of the situation.

Frustrated with the airline's handling of the situation, Hathurusingha decided to share his ordeal with the world through a tweet. He took to Twitter and wrote, "I had the worst experience with #virginaustralia, canceled the flights a few hours before take-off, didn't offer an alternative flight the same day, finally got on to the flight the next day then it was delayed, and ended up losing my bag too."

The delayed flight, which he eventually managed to board the next day, added further inconvenience to his already troubled journey. And as if things couldn't get any worse, he was dismayed to discover that his bag had gone missing amidst all the chaos.

Despite the disappointing start to his vacation, Hathurusingha is expected to return to Bangladesh on time for the start of the training camp, which is slated to begin on July 30. Hopefully, his upcoming journey back home will be smoother and more pleasant than his Australian escapade.

As his Twitter post garnered attention and sympathy from fellow travelers and cricket enthusiasts, it remains to be seen how Virgin Australia Airlines will respond to the coach's grievances and make amends for the inconvenience caused.
